Family Adventure Day: Purple Takeover

Celebrate Louisville’s sports legacy at the “Purple Takeover” on Family Adventure Day, featuring live racing, over 15 kid-friendly activities, and appearances from Lou City FC players. Families can enjoy face painting, sports inflatables, an obstacle course, a soccer skills station, games, arts & crafts, and more.

Special Partnership: This event supports Blessings in a Backpack. Guests who bring two non-perishable food items from the provided list will be entered for a chance to win a meet-and-greet with Churchill Downs’ official bugler, Steve Buttleman.

• Face painting (1:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m.)

• Sports inflatables, slides, and obstacle courses

Child Ticket Policy:

• General Admission: Free for up to two children per paying adult (18+, valid ID). Additional children require a full-price ticket.

• Reserved Seating: Free for children under 2 if held by an adult; ages 2–12 require a child’s or full-price ticket if a seat is needed.
