Support the Library Department with a variety of projects related to cataloging, collections management, research, and outreach. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with historical and contemporary resources in the Thoroughbred industry.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide front desk coverage and assist library patrons
Conduct serials indexing and build industry research files
Support creation and maintenance of digital repositories
Accession, catalog, and ingest new acquisitions
Process and organize archival collections
Index still image collections using metadata standards
Participate in research, collections management, and preservation projects
Assist with community and industry outreach initiatives
Support physical and virtual exhibits, and library promotions
Qualifications & Requirements:
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong customer service and research abilities
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in library systems, digital asset management tools, and related technologies
Knowledge of emerging trends in library research and special collections
Familiarity with the Thoroughbred breeding and racing industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Equine Studies, Communications, Education, History, or related field
2–3 years of experience in a library, museum, or cultural organization
1–3 years of experience in or adjacent to the Thoroughbred industry
Salary:
$20.00 per hour
