Support Keeneland Library’s mission by leading outreach initiatives, educational programs, and exhibit development. This position connects the Library’s historical resources and collections with the community, the Thoroughbred industry, and the public through engaging storytelling and outreach programs.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Develop, deliver, and administer library and community outreach programs
Coordinate access-centered collections and traveling exhibits
Conduct research and assist with the development of physical and virtual exhibits
Promote library services, communications, and community engagement
Support Keeneland departments with outreach, communications, and research projects
Establish and maintain relationships with industry and community stakeholders
Represent the Library at events, providing tours and presentations
Collaborate with Library staff and other Keeneland departments
Qualifications & Requirements:
Knowledge of trends in library, museum, education, and publishing services
Understanding of the Thoroughbred industry and community relations best practices
Strong public speaking, writing, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends and travel for outreach programs
Experience with library catalogs, digital asset management, and educational programming
Proficient in technology and communication tools used in library and museum settings
Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (ALA-accredited) or related field (Public History, Education, Museum Studies, etc.) preferred
2–4 years of experience in a library, museum, or cultural organization
2–3 years of experience in or adjacent to the Thoroughbred industry
Salary:
$50,000–$55,000 annually
